I just had a painful webchat with them prior to switching. They’ll confirm that they’ll accept someone on an Economy 10 tariff but, as per people’s findings in this chat, they’ll say you only get 7 hours off-peak per day.
I did challenge them on how exactly they’ll know how my usage during their 7 hour period rather than the 10 hours my meter currently works on. She said that I have to provide 3 readings from my meter and they’ll charge peak for 2 of them and off-peak for 1. I told her this wasn’t possible as my meter only has 2 readings (off peak and peak), but she largely ignored that point.
She claimed she was indeed a manager already, so wouldn’t let me call / speak to one.
I’m going to switch anyway and see how it goes. Wish me luck!
